Little Creatures - IPA

Number 5 of the Local Taphouses Top 100 Australian Craft Beers.

I didn't have high hope for this beer as I am not a fan of Little Creatures.  But this is a solid IPA.  It has a nice sharpness with a deep creamy note.  It is a really drinkable beer.

Young Henry's - Newtowner

I have been drinking this beer recently at Miss Peaches in Newtown.   It's not a ground breaking beer but it is a great drinking Summer Ale.  There is a nice freshness to this beer.

Batch Brewing Company - Milk Stout

Milk Stouts are fast becoming a favourite of mine.  This is a deliciously dark and rich beer with a nice bite to it.

Kooinda Boutique Brewery - Valhalla Golden Ale

This beer is fresh and fruity with a really nice creaminess.   It is a fairly big beer and you be hard going the more you drank.

3 Ravens - 55 American Pale Ale

Not as exciting as the Dark Stout or Smokey Dark Ale but a very enjoyable beer.  It is a very clean an crisp beer that sits well on the pallet.

Little Creatures - Bright Ale

Number 80 of the Local Taphouses Top 100 Australian Craft Beers.

The Bright Ale is a sharp Ale with a slightly waxy mouth feel.  I picked up macadamia when I was drinking it.  Better than the rated Pale Ale but I probably won't visit this beer again.

5/10

3 Ravens - Black Stout

This was is a creamy and rich Stout.  It has a nice bitter note and flavour.  This was another great beer from 3 Ravens.

8/10

3 Ravens - Dark Smoke Beer

I tried this because it sounded interesting and it certainly delivers.  The best way to describe it is a Dark Ale mixed with a smokey Whiskey.  And what a delicious combination.

Boatrocker - Hop Bomb IPA

Number 44 of the Local Taphouses Top 100 Australian Craft Beers.

This is a grainy beer but at the same time it quite thin and light.  The first few drinks I got nothing from it all.  But the flavour built on the pallet.  I enjoyed it though it took some time to get this beer.

Ekim Brewing Co - After Battle Pale Ale

Number 73 of the Local Taphouses Top 100 Australian Craft Beers.

This beer started off quite nicely with a sweet and creamy flavour.   But there is something really unpleasant buried in this beer.  The more I drank the less I liked it.
