Hawthorn Brewing Co - Amber Ale

Number 81 of the Local Taphouses Top 100 Australian Craft Beers.

I like this beer but it's not something I would go back to again.  A strong hoppy flavour that is quite confronting a first.  I got into it more as I drank it.  This is a big beer but is a fine drop.

Hawthorn Brewing Co - Pale Ale

Number 66 of the Local Taphouses Top 100 Australian Craft Beers.

This is a really complex beer.  There are very different levels to this.  One is Malt and the other is a really fruity.  I'm not sure about this one it is really confusing.  I like it because its really interesting but it might be too different.

Little Creatures - Pale Ale

Number 03 of the Local Taphouses Top 100 Australian Craft Beers.

Look there is nothing wrong with this beer but its just really boring.  Its light and kind of washy.  This is a very safe beer that doesn't pull any punches or tries.

Mclaren Vale Beer Company - IPA

Number 14 of the Local Taphouses Top 100 Australian Craft Beers.

I have been a fan of the Mclaren Vale Beer Companys range for some time and was introduced to them by this beer.  This is a really great beer and is an absolute go to for me.  It is a lighter style IPA nice fruit notes and a refreshing crisp finish.

Hawthorn Brewing Co - Australian IPA

Number 66 of the Local Taphouses Top 100 Australian Craft Beers.

This is a bitter and hoppy IPA.  It is deceptively complex and I liked it the more I drank it.  I like it.  Not my fav but I like it.

Burleigh Brewing Co - Fig Jam IPA

Number 71 of the Local Taphouses Top 100 Australian Craft Beers.

This is a big beer.  Fig is definitely apparent in this beer and gives it a rounded mouth feel.  This is a really exciting beer with a bitter finish.  This is a great beer.

8/10

Burleigh Brewing Co - 28 70's Style Pale Ale

Number 32 of the Local Taphouses Top 100 Australian Craft Beers.

This is a very similar to the Hassle Hop but a bit smoother and not quite as sharp.   As far as Pale Ales go this is an unspectacular one.

Burleigh Brewing Co - Hassle Hop Pale Ale

Number 38 of the Local Taphouses Top 100 Australian Craft Beers.

This is an interesting beer.  It's fruity and creamy with a really pleasant vanilla note to it.  I really enjoyed this one.  It's not too exciting but it is a really solid beer thats enjoyable start to finish.

Young Henry's "Brew Am I" American Pale Ale

To celebrate 20 years of You Am I Young Henry's released Brew Am I.  It's quite an investment at $28. So is it any good?

The beer is fruity and smooth.  It has a tart opening note.  With stone fruit in the background.  I think that it would be a good food beer.  With something light like fish or cheese.  It's not an everyday beer but it is an enjoyable drop.
